American Kentucky Corn Whiskey
Distillery bottling
First whiskey I have tried from Bowsaw so no idea what to expect in terms of quality.
Similar price to Mellow Corn which I have previously had a number of years ago so should expect something similar I guess.

Review
The nose starts off with butter coated corn on the cob with a sprinkling of spices. It is not rough, it is quite mellow actually with the corn not being overpowering and neither are the spices.
The palate offers maple syrup coated corn on the cob, with a sprinkling of white pepper, just a little sweetness coming through from the maple syrup. This then moves into a slight earthy characters which really builds along with the corn onto a medium length, dry-ish finish that has just a slight sweet cinnamon spice running alongside.
Overall I find it to be a pleasant dram. It is bottled at 43% ABV which really suits it actually, you get a lovely spicy note without any ABV burn to go with it. It is not complex, nor too refined but it is a nice easy drinking corn whiskey and won’t break the bank.
