Review
The nose welcomes you with a lovely toffee note, not too much of the toffee sweetness though, just the richness. This is followed by a wonderful pecan pie punch towards the end along with a hint of oak.
The palate leads with a maple syrup sweetness with only a hint of the pecan that was so prominent on the nose for me. There is a good amount of spice present, a mix of nutmeg with a little cinnamon. The nutmeg continues onto the finish while the cinnamon is lost and replaced with an oaky spice.
A good solid bourbon this, a mix of oak, sweetness and spice. Handles the ABV very well, very easy drinking on it’s own but strong enough that it can take some water/ice/other mixer quite easily.
